GEMS: Geoscience, Exploration and Mineral Systems is a Newcastle-based business run by Phil and Cressida Gilmore.
We provide geoscience expertise to:
Understand the geology of NSW and beyond
Aid natural resource and land use decision making
Support best-practice mineral exploration for precious, base and critical minerals
Inform the community about geology, geological processes and natural resources

Both Phil and Cressida are skilled and experienced mineral geoscientists with strong geospatial / GIS skills, and a passion to share geology and our natural world with others. We each have over 25 years experience in minerals exploration, government, consultancy and private companies.
Phil completed BSc. (Hons) and Master of Economic Geology degrees. He is an Accredited Geoscientist 10 (Ac.Geo.10) with the Geological Society of Australia, accredited in Regional Geoscience, Mineral Exploration and Information Geoscience.
Cressida completed a B.Sc. (Hons) degree.
